Off the back of the release of his acclaimed debut album “Boy”, Melbourne synthesist Harvey Sutherland invites fellow antipodeans DJ Plead and Vanessa Worm to rework the chaotic single “Type A”.
DJ Plead (Livity Sound, SUMAC) turns in a thrilling flip, his trademark heady drum programming dovetails with the scuzzy bassline of the original. ‘sos’ of Melbourne art-punks CLAMM appears only briefly - Jarred grinds his deadpan vocal down to angel dust.
Aoeteroa dance-punk Vanessa Worm builds a new world inside Sutherland’s janky motorik groove, adding her own lyrics, harmonies and vocal synthesis to create an unholy duet. The track is filtered and flipped in her singular style, a raw and unhinged rework from the Optimo Music affiliate.
HS also releases the DJ-friendly 'Sutherland Club Mix', heard only in a solo live set in Japan in 2019. A groovy rework at a dancefloor-ready pace.
These three songs from JV & Palf deliver jittery, hyperactive dance music with split-second vocal samples an bass-heavy beats. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 4, 2018

Simple and yet effective. Ones the tune gets going, it'll make you stomp your feet. And if you're still standing still after a minute, the drop will surely get you going!
Simply fantastic.... G4000
